Puff Pastry - Chicken Curry Filling

Jemput Makan.

percubaan buat pizza bersama wafa boleh thn hasilnya.
masih tak puas dgn trial n error. lalu mama gagahkan diri untuk mencuba puff pastry.
i can't hardly find out why the interest on trying are to the highest level right now.
although the everyday tasks and timing are quite tight.
It seems that I do enjoy with the process, the waiting..the rising of the pastry-from a flat thin piece of so called dough (maybe?), to form a bursting pastry which is so adorable and extremely beautiful(to me).-walaupun pastry tersebut ready made punya (n_^)
Although the super hot environment could've made me sweat throughout the scene.

Geram.
Masa duk dalam oven, duk bertiga dgn wafa dan muaz bertinggung depan oven tu semata2 nk tengok keajaiban yang berlaku pada sekeping pastry tersebut.
Kata orang German, Jakun.

Proceed to the recipe:

1 pack of ready made pastry puff (brand KAWAN)
take out from freezer/frigde and put it in room temperature while starting to prepare the filling.

Chicken Curry Filling:
I have no specific measurement, I just roughly picked all of it-easier.

Method + Ingredients :

1. Flame up the wok in medium mode and saute the following till soften or until you can notice the wonderful aroma;

a. About a clove of garlic - crushed(the taste will be much better than sliced-because of the juice that
is coming out from the bulb)
b. 1  onion (Preferably Holland's , to get the natural sweet taste) - diced

2. Add in the main body; (to half cook)

a. 2 potatoes - cut into uniformly-sized pieces
b. 1/2 packed minced chicken/meat (I used Ayamas brand)
c. 1 cup of mix vegi - contains diced carrots, corn, and peas

3. Put in the seasoning (to taste)

a. Any Curry powder - I used Faiza's and Adabi's
b. Salt to taste - I love salty taste
c. About 1/2 teaspoon of Mix herbs (the more the merrier)

4. Add in the moist agent (my version-optional);

a. 1 cup of fresh milk + plain hot water or
b. just plain water

5. Cook till soften and a bit dry. be careful and aware on the flame! otherwise they will burnt and definitely the taste becomes already out.

Next method for assembling the filling into pastry: (Source : Dapur tanpa sempadan)

1. Preheat the oven to 160~170 deg, (Most of the time I used only up to this temp, each oven have its
own capability - my one will makes the food burnt on the outside and uncooked in the inside if I
    put it to >170 deg.
2. Cut the pastry into 2 pieces, 1 is mean to be the base, another 1 will be the cover.
3. Add about  1 tablespoon of the prepared filling onto the base
4. Place another piece to cover it up.
5. Get a fork, dip it to flour, and press to the pastry to bond it. you will get nice effect.
6. Brush on some egg yolk on top of the pastry.
7. Bake till yellowish brown. The pastry will become nicely layered and fluffy. And the aroma will
spread into each space of your house!
8. Let it cooled on a steel wire mesh. And its ready to be grabbed!

Happy trying! and may this will be a helpful info for all. Knowledge is for sharing. May Allah always lead us the way to Jannah.
